Extension of Medical Visa

When a person need additional time for rehabilitation beyond his or her departure date from India, a visa extension is required. In that instance, the patient will need an official document from the hospital outlining his or her ailment, treatment procedure, and the number of days it would take for him or her to fully recover and return to his or her home country. To prolong his or her stay in the nation, the applicant must attend to the FRRO office with the letter and the requisite documentation.

FRRO

The Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) is the major body in India that oversees registration, movement, stay, departure, and stay extension. If a person needs to extend his or her medical visas, he or she must travel to the FRRO office.
